Leeds 800th Anniversary
In 1207 on November 12th Maurice de Paynel granted a charter (The Constitution of the Burgesses of Leeds), creating the borough of Leeds. To celebrate the 800th anniversiry of the founding of the city of Leeds in 2007, Leeds City Council organised many prestigious events , as well as history tours, festivals, and school outings. Wecommunic8 were commissioned to created a street gallery that travelled to three parts of the city, Millenium Square, Briggate/Main shopping area and Victoria gardens, outside the museums.
